Today, college basketball practice begins early due to a new NCAA rule. So unlike previous years, Big Blue Madness this year will not usher in the beginning of the season with a bang, but it will creep in on little Wildcat feet.

Some coaches like, and others dislike, the new rule allowing basketball practice to begin today. I think it depends on your style — if you're into beating the players' brains out on the practice floor, this can be too early. If you're coaching in more of a professional mold, like Kentucky, it's a really good thing.

Andy Glockner continues his ranking of the top college basketball programs, this time #6-10. Louisville and Indiana are ranked in this range. Sounds about right to me.

Some people aren't happy. Any wonder I dislike Jeff Goodman?
Didn't take Goodman long to get his predictable shot in on Cousins. Wasn't he supposed to flame out and hit 300+ lbs?
