Today, Kentucky travels to LP Field in Nashville, home of the Tennessee Titans, to take on Big Red and the Western Kentucky Hiilltoppers. Big game.

• That's no way to treat a car, and no way to be a fan. And stop embarrassing WKU alumni, like me.

• Safety Zach Blaylock too beat up to play vs. Western. Good thing we are reasonably deep at that spot.

• What Neal Brown can do for Kentucky:

  Neal Brown is not afraid of incompletions or interceptions. His ratio of passing plays to running plays over his career as a coordinator would give a conservative coach indigestion. It is 1.35 passes for every run. All five of his teams completed at least 60 percent of their passes, and the number was better than 65 percent all three seasons at Texas Tech.

• 100 things that will happen this season in college football. I think this is typically hiilarious (and likely true):

  1. Kentucky will win a national title. The football team will continue to struggle, however.

Hate to see this.

• Friday's results, in case you missed it. Two FCS programs have upset FBS programs so far this season (that I know of).

• Auburn and Louisville to face off in football in 2015. Interesting.

• This isn't going to help Florida's reputation for lawlessness.

• I agree that suspending Manziel's one-half suspension was embarrassing, and worse than doing nothing. He's right that trying to interpret the "spirit" of the NCAA rules is absurd.

College basketball

• Rush The Court analyzes the Lindys and Sporting News preseason top ten.

• Ouch. I hate to see this. I want every team we play this season to be at full strength.
