News and commentary from around the Big Blue Internet. Kentucky loses three football players, two to transfer and one to academics. Emmanuel Mudiay to commit tonight, SMU seems to be the betting favorite. More.

Once again, Mark Stoops was pleased with Kentucky's work today, and pronounced it "better than yesterday." Today's practice was open to the media, so we should be getting some stories about how it went.

Jen Smith at the Herald-Leader has more, and an injury update. Thomas Chapman's rumored departure to Murray State is confirmed.

Tweet of the Day:

Man, that's just cool. Congratulations to Max.

But that's just me, and I am well known as an obnoxious curmudgeon when it comes to web design. Also, it's a bit unfair for me to be too critical because SB Nation has a legion of paid code monkeys to deliver all this fanciness you see. I doubt that KSR has that kind of tech support.

  • Tim Sullivan of the Courier-Journal throws a little cold water on the speculation that Louisville will get through the year undefeated:

Until their signature night in New Orleans last January, the Cardinals were more of a juggling act than a juggernaut. They won six games by seven points or fewer against a schedule Jeff Sagarin’s ratings put No. 70 in the FBS. They lost back-to-back games to unranked Syracuse and Connecticut. Their run defense was a rumor. Their special teams were spotty.

    ...

It’s hard to expect a team to go undefeated when so much hinges on the health of a single player. It’s hard to believe any team can continue to win its coin-flip games at the rate of six out of seven.

Teddy Bridgwater is absolutely legit. The rest of the Cardinal team is mid-pack ACC quality, in my opinion. Bridgewater is the difference between a minor bowl and a major bowl for them.

[Glenn] but what a game! Well, I guess that "national #2" talk was a bit optimistic.

  • I'm shocked ... SHOCKED!, I tell you, that the NFL pressured ESPN to back out of the Frontline concussion documentary. I'm equally shocked that ESPN willingly gave in.

Can somebody help me get this tongue out of my cheek? It seems to be stuck ...
