True freshman Blake McClain wants to make an impact this year in the defensive backfield. We need the help back there, that's for sure.

UK may not name a quarterback until the Western game. I think that would be a mistake. Last time that happened, it didn't end well.

Mike DeCourcy on the end of the Kentucky-Tennessee home-home:
Going forward, only one series for each team became a guaranteed home-and-home each year. That’s a mistake. The Big East built its basketball brand by always ensuring the best teams would play one another. This season, UT looks as though it will rank as one of the strongest challengers in the SEC, but the Vols will not get to play the leading contender, UK, at home.
Stupid football league. Maybe we should move to the ACC after all.

Luke Kennard's father says Luke would be a great fit for the Wildcats, and said they all grew up Kentucky fans.
Sounds like a slam dunk to me.

Emmanuel Mudiay leads the 247Sports rankings. I had a feeling we were going to see him elevated to near the summit of some rankings soon. I suspect this won't be the last.

No doubt this has already been linked and/or mentioned in the comments, but in case you missed it...

CoachCal.com talks ESPN's Game Day, and the return to Rupp Arena for the second season in a row.
