It's Yahtzee! time again, Big Blue Nation, as Kentucky gets their 21st commitment of the 2014 recruiting class, Garrett Johnson from Winter Garden, Florida. Steve Jones at the Courier-Journal has the details:

Johnson, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound player for West Orange High School in Winter Garden, chose the Wildcats over scholarship offers from Arizona, Boston College, South Florida, Connecticut, Georgia Tech and others.

Johnson has been listing the Kentucky Wildcats among his favorites for some time, and after returning from his camp visit this past weekend, Kentucky was his clear leader.

Chad Scott is the Kentucky recruiter who has been working on Johnson. According to Rivals.com, he was on the verge of committing to Kentucky during the trip up to UK. This is a result of the Friday Night Blue Lights camp that Hank wrote about recently. So despite the lack of immediate commitments, the camp clearly paid off, and we are beginning to see the fruits of the coaching staff's labor right now.

Johnson is coming in at a needed position, because Neal Brown's offense requires as many receivers as Kentucky can find scholarships for. Given his size, Johnson is likely destined to work the slot receiver position, but he's very fast and can make plays in space when he touches the ball.

Yahtzee!, Big Blue Nation. Here we go!
