Memphis' Kuran Iverson thinks that the incoming Memphis class is "Way better" than the Kentucky incoming class. You may recall that Kuran is a second cousin of former NBA star Allen Iverson. Read all about it below.

Somebody needs to tell the officials this.

Nations Elite has Drew Barker rated #5 on their QB list [Hank].

Don't like the star system? Here's another way to look at recruits. Using this system Kentucky currently ranks #6 in recruiting team rankings. There are some flaws with this system, just like every other system. It is, however, an interesting approach [Hank].
-
MaxPreps has released their preseason Top 25 National rankings. Louisville Trinity isn't on the list, but they usually are at the end of the season. Five teams from Florida made the list [Hank].
-
Louisville and Florida St. lead the race for Florida commitments, beating Florida, and Miami as of last Thursday [Hank].
-
Two interviews with our newest commitment [Hank].
-
Varsity Preps 2015 Watch List for Florida [Hank].
-
Expect to see this from Neal Brown a lot in the future... [Hank]
-
Phil Steele has his preseason All-SEC teams out. Kentucky is represented on defense and special teams, but not on offense.
-
Matt Elam, prized UK recruit from John Hardin and #2 ranked 2014 player in the state, will announce his college choice on January 4th at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, where he has been invited to play.

There had been rumblings that 2014's Cliff Alexander wanted to go to school with Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor, but that talk seems to be dying down.
-
The incoming UK basketball class is beginning to arrive in Lexington.
Other UK sports
- 10 Wildcats to participate in the NCAA Track Championship. Looks like track coach Edrick Floreal's expectations of rapid improvement have been met.

A Miami football player filed a report with police that claims the investigator "coerced" information from him in the course of the NCAA's investigation of Miami.
Okay, and this is a crime how? Sorry, but unless there was some kind of actionable fraud, I can't see how this can be acted upon by the police. Maybe one of our legal eagles can enlighten me. It seems to me that if coercion of information were a crime, law enforcement breaks the law all the time.

SB Nation's Bill Connelly previews every SEC team here.

Now this is funny... unless you are an Alabama fan.

Ugh. This isn't what Anthony Grant needed. Very strange situation.
-
Kuran Iverson has an awfully high opinion of Memphis' recruiting class, and I'd say this sort of bravado is genetic in his case. But suggesting Memphis' class is "way better" than Kentucky's is probable cause for a drug test, I'd say.

Rick Pitino gets his Maker's Mark bottle. I like Calipari's way better.
Other sports news
- Wild Weasel had this yesterday, but it bears repeating. OSU's Gordon Gee decides to retire. Too bad, I really liked him right where he was.
