Today is the first day of the 2013 NFL draft, and it is likely that Larry Warford will find out his team and position today. Check out my draft profile on Larry Warford for more.
Tweet of the Morning:
FSU could have four 1st rounders: Werner, Watson, Rhodes, Carradine. Rhodes and Werner are locks. Carradine coming off injury. Watson close.

Three of these guys, Bjoern Werner, Xavier Rhodes and Tank Carradine all played under Mark Stoops. Carradine and Werner are defensive ends. This cannot be bad for recruiting at Kentucky.

Great list by John Clay. Randall Cobb is only the second-highest player drafted. Dewayne Robinson of the 2003 class went in the first round.
Question: Is Georgia a recruiting priority? Stoops: "Absolutely, yes. Yeah, we are currently recruiting Georgia, yes."
I sure hope so. Georgia produced a number of our best players over the last few years, including Trevard Lindley.

Nice list here. It will be very interesting to see how Calipari manages this, because there will likely be returners from next year not named Kyle Wiltjer.
I must say, I wasn’t particularly impressed with Louisville’s incoming players in the Derby Festival Classic. Of course, there was one or two we didn’t see there, Chris Jones and Terry Rozier, but both those players lack size at 5’11" and 6’0", respectively.

According to Sports Illustrated‘s Thayer Evans, the hearing took place in Dallas last Friday. Among those in attendance was former head coach Chip Kelly, now with the Philadelphia Eagles, who maintained that Willie Lyles’ scouting service was used "the same way other schools do." A decision on any possible sanctions is said to come within the next 60 to 90 days, per Evans.
I don’t either.
UA coach Nick Saban said he would like to see the SEC schedule maintain two rotator games for each team in the opposite division, which would allow for a player to play against every school in the league over a four-year career.
Here’s hoping they get it right

Interesting comments about South Carolina’s Frank Martin.
I think it’s fine. Smith is, at best, a marginal NBA player on paper, and I don’t think he can improve his stock much, if any, in the face of next year’s loaded draft. He has the heart, but not the size, or really the game, for the NBA. But neither did Chuck Hayes, and you all know how that worked out.
This was a bigger surprise to me than Russ Smith’s return.

Roy Exum opines on Richie Farmer’s fall from grace. Personally, I was never that invested in Farmer, even as a player. Maybe I’m an outlier.
