Kentucky High School Action through 11/2/13

New, 1 comment

Updates from Kentucky high school football, as well as from some of the Wildcats' favorite hunting grounds for recruiting.

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

District playoff berths were on the line this weekend in several states as many schools played their final regular season games. Kentucky has one more week to go. The action was hot and heavy. I’ve attempted to provide as much game video as I could find. Drew Barker may have had his worst day ever: 7-18 for 56 yards and 7 rushes for 43 yards and 2 fumbles.

Games of note in Kentucky involved Ft. Thomas Highlands, Caldwell County, Mayfield and McCracken County. Paris High School won their 200th game at Blanton Collier Stadium. Watch the video on WLEX TV. In Florida, Apopka was playing for the Florida state regular season scoring record. In a "historically significant" game in Tennessee (eyes are rolling), Daniel Boone defeated David Crockett 42-6 and Tennessee beat Volunteer 40-14.

Do you think Kentucky should recruit this kid? I do. While this player is real, this one wasn't.
