The Keightley Classic event continues tonight as the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Texas-Arlington Mavericks in Rupp Arena. Game particulars as follows courtesy of UKAthletics.com:

What I hope to see tonight

  • Continued defensive improvement. Sunday night was better, now let's see if we can top that.

  • Efficient offense versus the zone. I don't care how we do it, but Kentucky is going to see a lot of zone this season.

  • Another player besides Julius Randle have a big game.

  • Continued good foul shooting. It was good Sunday, it needs to stay good tonight.

  • More and better fast breaks. We haven't run that many, and not all of them have been any good.

  • The return of Alex Poythress to form. We need him to play better than he did Sunday.

This should be a game that Kentucky wins easily, but this UT-Arlington team has some players that are pretty good, just not that many. The zone may provide us with lots of enlightenment tonight.
