Tyler Ulis signed his National Letter of Intent today, officially sealing his commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats. Ulis' father tweeted a picture of his son at Marian Catholic's signing ceremony.

Ulis committed to Kentucky in mid-September following a lightning quick recruiting process. Kentucky head coach John Calipari had extended an offer to Ulis just a few weeks prior, when Ulis made his first unofficial visit to Lexington. Ulis chose Kentucky over the Michigan St. Spartans and Iowa Hawkeyes, right after he took his official visit during the UK Alumni Charity Game.
With current starting point guard Andrew Harrison expected to declare for the NBA Draft following this year, Ulis will be in contention for the starting 1 job going into next season. He will compete with freshman Dominique Hawkins, who currently backs up Harrison along with senior Jarrod Polson.
Welcome to Big Blue Nation, Tyler!
