As far as 2014 Kentucky Wildcats basketball recruiting goes, this Thursday promises to be a big day. Earlier this afternoon, shooting guard James Blackmon, Jr. from Marion (ID) High stated that he would announce his collegiate decision on ESPNU. According to Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader, Blackmon's announcement will be televised live during halftime of the Louisiana-Monroe vs. Troy college football game.

Kentucky is considered a heavy favorite for Blackmon, a status the Wildcats have held since Blackmon decommitted from the Indiana Hoosiers earlier this fall. Blackmon made a last-ditch trip to Bloomington this past weekend, but from the looks of it, that visit seemed like more of a courtesy than a serious trip. His only other official visit was to the Michigan Wolverines, the third serious finalist on Blackmon's list.

Later this evening, fellow sharpshooter Devin Booker from Moss Point (MS) High also announced that he will reveal his college decision on Thursday. Booker plans to announce a few hours earlier than Blackmon. He will hold a presser from his high school, with a decision coming around 3:30 p.m.

While many recruitniks still believe Booker will pick Kentucky, this recruitment isn't as much of a slam dunk as Blackmon's. Some analysts seriously doubt that both shooting guards will be comfortable sharing the same backcourt. Booker, a Michigan native, is also strongly considering the Wolverines. Further, he has made two trips this month to his father's alma mater, the Missouri Tigers.

Fasten your seatbelts. It's gonna be a bumpy Thursday night!
