High School Action - Week Ending 10/26/13

As I watched Kentucky shoot itself in the foot with mental mistakes Thursday night, I switched to the Hoover (AL) – Tuscaloosa County game during the too many commercial breaks.

I'll do anything to avoid hearing about Low-T, Viagra or that stupid lizard bullcrap or watching the attractive, but irritating, Amy talk about Nutri-system.  Many times, I'll pause my DVR during the commercials and go to the bathroom, take a smoke break, do the dishes, whatever. Did I say I hate the five+ minutes of commercials?

Hoover caught my eye, though. That's the tallest, skinniest team I think I've ever seen. I've watched a lot of high school ball this year and I think Hoover can give Miami's Booker T. Washington a run for their money. On another note, Miami is not a nice place. The Glades Central - Miami Northwestern game was cancelled due to gang violence. You can read about it here. For those who believe that refs should receive a come-uppance, this one's for you. On to the scores....
