NCAA Football Saturday Open Thread

Talk about the big games today in the Saturday football open thread.

Jonathan Ferrey

Welcome to the A Sea of Blue Saturday college football open thread. Talk about the games today in here.

For the record, and keeping in mind my previously poor record of picking games, here's the ones that interest me, and what I think will happen:

  • Vanderbilt at Texas A&M: Vandy doesn't have the most powerful offense, but TAMU has such a poor defense I don't think they can stop Vandy that often. A&M by a touchdown.

  • Alabama at Tennessee: This is going to be ugly. Alabama by 28. It won't be as bad as Kentucky, but it will be pretty bad.

  • Clemson at Maryland: Will the Seminoles beat the Tigers twice? I hope not, but Maryland is good enough to pull it off in their own stadium if Clemson is not on their game. Clemson by 7, but this one is on my upset watch.

  • Texas Tech at Oklahoma: Wow, this one is full of Kentucky coaching connections. Can Kliff Kingsbury pull off a huge victory on the road? I think so. Red Raiders by 3.

  • South Carolina at Missouri: I don't think the Gamecocks can stop the high-powered Mizzou offense. Missouri by a touchdown.

  • UCLA at Oregon: No way the Bruins get out of Eugene with a win. Ducks by 21.

  • Stanford at Oregon St.: I like the Beavers in this one by 3. Should be a very close game.

  • Bonus — Texas at TCU: I think the Longhorns win this in a squeaker. Texas by 3.
