Andre' Woodson will not get a chance to serve his third year at Kentucky as a graduate assistant, because Morehead St. came calling with an offer that Andre' couldn't refuse - a position coaching job.
Andre' was working with the quarterbacks at Kentucky, and by all accounts doing a good job. It is always great to get players like Woodson back when their pro career is over, and get them started coaching. Woodson is no doubt sad to leave the school that made him the two-time Music City Bowl MVP, but it's really good to see him move up to a position spot so soon.
I'll never forget the 2007 game against the favored Louisville Cardinals that Kentucky won with a Woodson pass down the left sideline to Stevie Johnson. Woodson was involved in many of my best memories of Kentucky football, and had one of the most successful careers of any quarterback at Kentucky in a long time in terms of team success on the field.
Good luck, Andre'. You will always be one of ours.
