CoShik Williams Aggravates Hip Strain, Doubtful For South Carolina Game

And the hits just keep on coming.

On the heels of Maxwell Smith's separated shoulder, which will not keep him out of the game, comes news that CoShik Williams has aggravated his hip injury and is doubtful for the game between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Kentucky Wildcats.

Many of us feared that Williams, who is not a big guy, might get banged up in SEC play. Turns out he has yet to play his first snap in SEC play, and he is banged up already. Johnathan George has certainly done a very good job in relive, as has Raymond Sanders, but we really do need to get Dyshawn Mobley more reps. He had a few last week, but it's important that he get some carries against an SEC first string defense, even if it's just a few.

Injuries were the primary reason for Kentucky's awful season last year, and here we are again back on the injury train. The bottom line -- we need to continue to upgrade our recruiting to get bigger and more durable players.
