Kentucky Football: Jared Lorenzen Unleashes the Kracken on the Florida Offensive Coordinator

Jamie Rhodes-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

This morning I bumped into this article in the Courier-Journal that was published yesterday:

Former University of Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen wasn’t bashful about his thoughts on former Wildcats offensive coordinator Brent Pease getting that same position at Florida during the offseason.

"He’s freaking crazy and was brutal at UK when I was there," Lorenzen wrote on Twitter, later adding: "The good thing about Pease at UF is now we can shut them down."

Pease told a group at the Ocala Gator Club in July that Lorenzen’s remarks would be "good for about two extra launch plays, trying to get 50 points on those guys when they come to campus."

Wow, J-Load, tell us what you really think about coach Pease. And don't spare the details.

I don't know whether to be happy or sad about this, or just roll around laughing. I kind of love it that Lorenzen is opening up on a coach he apparently loathed during his time at UK. On the other hand, do we really want to grab the Gators by the tail and dare them to try to eat us whole? Apparently, that's what Joker Phillips was thinking when he told the media:

"Tell Jared to shut the hell up," he joked. "Tell Pease that Jared is sorry, OK? I’ll apologize for him."

It's a conundrum. Well, enjoy the humor. I have a feeling we're going to need to save some up for Saturday.
