The John Calipari Fantasy Experience is coming on September 13th-15th. You may have heard about this event, but we have quite a bit of information you may not have heard.

Right now, campers will get what is described as a chance to "Live the life of a UK basketball player." That life includes dinner for each camper at Coach Cal's residence along with a guest, the chance to play and compete against 16 former UK players including, but not limited to Anthony Davis, John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Darius Miller, Terrence Jones, and Eric Bledsoe inside Rupp Arena. Obviously, there will be more players in attendance that have yet to be announced.

Campers will also receive exclusive, elite Nike® brand apparel, be introduced with typical UK player fanfare, network with players, coaches, and other campers, receive 8 premium seat tickets to the Saturday events including the Alumni Game and much more.

Whew. That's a lot of stuff. But there's more still.

Lest you think that this won't be an authentic experience, it will feature "everything from uniforms, to practice sessions, to film sessions, to being coached by our staff and former players here." according to Coach Cal.

Some additional comments from Calipari about the camp (quotes provided by Matt Chacksfield of ProCamps® Worldwide):

It’s been done at a lot of other places but not here. Again, I want (this place) to be the gold standard of doing these experiences. … I think this is going to be a terrific thing.

It’s a wonderful way for us to, one, connect a whole new realm of people to our program, but the biggest point is all the money will go to the foundation. It’s another way of doing thing that we do, leveraging what we are and what we are about, and giving that back to our community and our state and different causes we’re involved in.

I just want everybody to walk away saying, ‘Only at Kentucky could somebody pull this off like this, only at Kentucky could they do it to this level.'

We talked about the alumni game a few days back, but now it is official. has the details:
