The Tigers are coming off two sound defeats at the hands of quality SEC foes at Vanderbilt and Florida, and hopes they can do better versus Kentucky in the comfy confines of their own gym. Tony Barbee's squad is currently placed at #210 by Ken Pomeroy's ranking system, and the Wildcats check in at #4.

What I hope to see from Kentucky tonight:

  • Suffocating defense;
  • Precise offense with few turnovers, especially from Marquis Teague;
  • Attacking Auburn off the bounce as often as possible;
  • Terrence Jones continue his recovery from ... whatever;
  • More aggression out of Darius Miller.

Auburn is a team that will play better at home than on the road, but even at home, they haven't been very good despite their 10-5 record. That is build mostly on teams ranked greater than 250 on Kenpom's site, and even though that may provide some confidence for this young team, they have not faced a team as big, strong, and talented as Kentucky so far.

Go, 'Cats.
