The timing is interesting, in this case, because John Calipari is scheduled to have an in-home visit with Goodwin in his home in Arkansas on Thursday. Goodwin has previously told the press that he planned to make his college choice known in the spring.
There is no doubt that Goodwin is a very high priority for Calipari, but he is also a very high priority for the Arkansas Razorbacks, as according to ARPreps.com, Arkansas coach Mike Anderson visited the Goodwin household back on the 9th of this month.
It's intriguing and a little disconcerting that Goodwin would change his timetable to before Big Blue Madness. If there is anything about this news that makes me a touch more nervous than I otherwise would be, it's that. But many players have committed to UK before visiting. Goodwin would just be another one if that happened.
My guess is he will not make his decision until after he takes some visits, but I have absolutely nothing to support that. Call it a hunch.
