Big Blue Nation Linkapalooza: Louisville Insanity Edition

It's finally happened.  I thought it might, but I didn't think that it would happen this soon.  But it has.

John Calipari has officially driven Louisville fans to the brink of their sanity, then strapped a rocket engine on their backs and shot them so far over the edge they'll need the starship Enterprise to get back.

Can you say, "Schadenfreude," boys and girls?  I know you can.

• Anyone who watched Pitino's media avialability would know otherwise.
  The idea that Pitino isn't aware of what's going on, or hasn't been kept appraised of the situation is simply a joke. This guy becomes more of a caricature of himself with each passing year.

• Kentucky picks up another kicker.
  Tydlacka is graduating after this year.

  Brooks is to be inducted into the Oregon sports Hall of Fame!

  C'mon, Al, take it as a compliment. :-)

  Bruce Pearl as Madonna. I have to admit, I was thankful that I had just swallowed the last of my coffee before reading that one, or it would have been a new low in explosive nasal cleansing.

  Morgan Newton will show Kentucky fans what he was recruited to be from Indiana. Newton is big body at 6-4, 240. He has a veteran offensive line that Joker Phillips will rely on throughout this season. He will have time to throw, and I expect the running game to be good enough to help take some pressure off Newton’s passing game. He has one of the highest talent ceilings of any quarterback in the SEC right now. He just needs to learn the offense better and really be a leader for the Wildcats.
