The British Open is going into Sunday looking like a classic.  Bruce Feldman has resumed his duties from his non-suspension, and somewhere Mike Leach is laughing maniacally.  John Calipari has offered yet another top 50 recruit.  The NFL lockout looks poised to end soon.

Lots of news worth examining.  Now, for some other links:

  • Sports media up in arms over the suspension of Bruce Feldman by ESPN.
This is going to get very ugly, very quickly.

  • Calipari showing a lot of interest in Perry Ellis.
    From USA Today:

Calipari saw Ellis three times in the first two days of the adidas Invitational in Indianapolis. Assistant coach Orlando Antigua watched him in every game there, and Calipari flew back to Indianapolis from the LeBron James Camp in Akron, Ohio.

  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist a mark of his unselfishness.
    From Coach Calipari on CoachCal.com:

Michael plays for everyone but himself. That’s why it came as no surprise to the people that know him the most when he legally changed his name last week to "Michael Kidd-Gilchrist" in honor of his uncle, his best friend and his confidant, Darrin, who died tragically of a heart attack on the same day Michael signed his national letter of intent with the University of Kentucky.
