Big Blue Linkapalooza: Osama bin Laden Departs The World Edition

The big news of the day, brought to us earlier by Ken, is the abrupt, violent expulsion of Osama bin Laden, architect of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, from this plane of existence.  Good riddance to bad rubbish.

  With the loss, the Cardinals fell to 22-18 overall, while the Wildcats improved to 20-22 on the season with the victory. Tuesday's defeat, combined with the 3-2 loss on April 12, marked the first time Louisville has been swept in the season series against Kentucky since 2006.

  Swept 'em in baseball, defeated them in basketball and football.  This has been a good year for the rivalry, but not so much for the Bat Cats.

  Speaking only for myself, I wouldn't have any problems with Calipari coaching the Dominican Republic team this summer. Until Calipari falls flat on a recruiting class, I am of the opinion that it just isn't a problem for him.

  This is somewhat deceiving, as ordinal rankings tend to be. Kentucky's #1 class is far, far better than even Duke at #2. There is really no comparison between UK's class and Louisville's.

• Good guys, good players good idea

  At the bottom of round two, Thompson grabbed one of the most versatile, instinctive and spirited players in the draft in Kentucky wide receiver Randall Cobb. He catches passes, he returns punts and he even runs as a quarterback out of the "Wildcat" formation and he does them all as though his hair was on fire.

  That's a lot of good things to say about Randall  Cobb.
