The Big Blue Linkapalooza has been on hiatus for a few weeks, but it's back, once again as a daily feature. Today's stories are more about Tony Woods, some stuff about Coach Cal, and still more talk by UK commit Anthony Davis, who is fast becoming one of my favorite incoming players in a while.
Plus, UK Tennis is off to the Sweet Sixteen after sending the Louisville Cardinals home for the summer.

I'll tell you what is the case. Pitino, by offering Woods a scholarship, essentially ran interference for any program that takes Woods, and that program might very well be UK, where Woods says he met with athletic director Mitch Barnhart and outgoing President Lee Todd — as if either one could block John Calipari from taking a player he wanted.
Heh. Interesting take, that one.

Woods a pawn in U of L-Kentucky rivalry : U of L Card Game
Interesting that John Calipari would want to get involved with Woods. We’re led to believe by the UK patisans that he can get any player he wants. Why would he take the take the risk? We suspect it’s more a case of Calipari wanting to toy around with his old nemisis Rick Pitino again.
If so, Pitino deserves it. After all, look who he coaches.

"The thing about Duke was, every time they sent me a letter, they wouldn't spell my name right," Hairston said. "They would have 'T.J. Harrison' or something like that. And I'm like, 'OK. How can I go here? You can't even spell my name right.' It's only two letters and HAIR and STON. I'm trying to figure out how that's so hard."
Heh. Smart guys, eh. Of course, I can't be too hard on them since I do it all the time myself.
