The Mocs are coming off a win over Division II Spalding, but have struggled in their last few games, dropping four of their last five contests, including two very close games to the College of Charleston Cougars and the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs. But nothing they have faced so far will prepare them for the Wildcats team they will face tonight -- an angry team that will be looking to exorcise some of the demons of a last-second loss to Indiana in Bloomington last week.
Keys to victory:
- Kentucky must dominate the glass against the much smaller Mocs, particularly on the offensive end;
- Defend the three. The Mocs will shoot a ton of them;
- Get the ball to Davis on the roll. The Mocs cannot stop him above the rim;
- A focused and determined Terrence Jones;
- An attacking, swarming defense.
I look for the Wildcats to have an easy time of it, so they need to really come out with passion and get on top of this game early. The last thing UK needs is to let Chattanooga hang around until halftime, and put a bunch of giant-killer hopes in their hearts.
Go, 'Cats!
