Marist is coming into this game off a season in which they only saw six wins, but they had a good recruiting class for a team their size and do return some players with skill and a little size. They are likely to be a substantial upgrade from Morehouse and Transylvania, but the Wildcats still outclass them by a long way in terms of talent.

What I hope to see:

  • The Morehouse game all over again. If Kentucky can run the floor, rebound and bring the same defensive intensity that they did against Morehouse, this season is going to be a very rare treat.
  • Terrence Jones in the lineup. I understand he might have to sit for being in a situation last night, but I hope he suffers no ill effects physically.
  • Continued distribution by Marquis Teague. he really passed the ball last game, and I'd like to see that return.
  • Better ballhandling in the half court. I thought UK was weak in that area against Morehouse.
  • A bit of zone defense. If Calipari is going to use it, he needs to use it.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Big Blue Nation, the time is now for Kentucky to send a message to their other foes that massive margins are not just the result of poor competition, but of great talent and improving teamwork. We all want to see this team act like it is the #1 team in the land tonight.

Go, 'Cats!
