UK recruit Anthony Davis, and Drexel U. in the News

FoxSports.com's Jeff Goodman writes a terrific article on UK hot-target Anthony Davis' sudden surge up the high school player ratings -- Coming from out of nowhere, Davis has become the apple of many a coach's eye over the last few months, and after reading this piece, I'm even more intrigued by the young man.  Davis is not only gifted athletically, but he has a great attitude.  I'd love to see him wearing blue and white, but he has several suitors at the moment, and his list is long.

Keeping the positive vibes going, ESPN reports that former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett is enrolled back at OSU --  Clarett recently was released from prison after serving three-and-a-half years for aggravated robbery, and carrying a concealed weapon.  One of the truly sad college football stories of the decade past may very well end up with a happy ending.

Now, in an effort to put a smile on that face this morning, we have this: The Tennessee Titans are suing Lane Kiffin and USC for stealing their running back's coach, Kennedy Pola -- I doubt this will ever see a courtroom, but just the thought of it puts a smile on my face.  Oh, how the sand is quickly emptying out of the hour glass.

And then there's this: Two Drexel University basketball players are on the lam; sought in connection with a robbery during a home invasion -- Unbelievable!  If true, I suppose athletics are just a reflection of society: Some good eggs, some rotten.

We'll have a comprehensive football post up later in the day.
