Here is the statistical comparison between Georgia and Kentucky.
What jumps out to me is that we finally out-statistic a team. USC was pretty even with us, but we are a significantly better team on paper than the Dawgs.
Georgia really struggles shooting the basketball. They are at the bottom of the league in scoring, FG% and 3-point FG%. Even more amazing, the Cats have a better assist to turnover ratio than Georgia -- quite possibly the first time UK has lead an opponent in that stat since league play began.
Conversely, Georgia is second in the SEC in scoring defense, 3rd in 3-point shooting defense, first in steals and third in offensive rebounds. Kentucky is anything but an offensive juggernaut, and with Georgia contesting every basket, this game will most likely be an ugly, low-scoring war of attrition. Kentucky has not fared particularly well against aggressive man-to-man defense this year, and has had a tendency to turn the ball over when pressed hard. Georgia will press us hard.
