DROPPING DIMES: Saturday stuff

In excellent blog post slightly related to my recent posts about Louisville and UK, Kermit the Blog deconstructs the Big East, rather unflatteringly for the denizens thereof, I'm afraid.

Ryan Ferguson of the AOL Fanhouse has reached the same conclusion I did just below.  Those who take the 'Cats lightly this year are in for a rude shock.   This years version of the Football Felines has earned the right to a little 'tude.

Wildcats Thunder has a good post about the Kentucky defensive line.  Micah Johnson a good fit up front?  Uh... Yeah!

I'm hearing a few rumors that Jared Carter's injury may be worse than we are being told.  Frankly, I just hope the kid is well enough to play by the start of the season.  The Wildcat Report says Carter is recovering and worries about his conditioning.

The Wildcat Blog links a YouTube video of Billy Gillispie, in which he refers to himself as the "caretaker" of the program.

The Melo Backpedal revisits their 2007-08 top 25 basketball teams they put out just after the NCAA tournament.  Hint:  Kentucky makes the grade.

A 7'2" center in the 2009 class is reportedly interested in UK.  John Riek is a Sudanese native, and is a 5-star according to Scout.

Dakotah Euton, 2010 UK commit, said that Olek Czyz was the best player at the recent UK Elite camp, according to this report.

Wildcats Thunder talks about Billie Gillispie's game plan, and links us.  That's two good reasons to visit them.

Kentucky Ink has an update on Jared Carter, and a new recruit on the radar.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's sports writer picks UK over Tennessee ... but not in a flattering way.
