OK, I have settled down. I have lots of unattended work to do, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see another late-nighter from me, but there you go.
So Patterson is a Wildcat. Great news for the Big Blue Nation. Time for some reax from around the Internet:
Jody Demling has a new podcast out, in which he tells us that Patrick Patterson's matriculation to UK puts us in the Top 25 recruiting classes nationally.
This is funny right here, I don't care who you are.
The Gator Clause, a new blog to me, reports today's events briefly and matter-of-factly, giving us next year's gator starting five. [editor's note, by Truzenzuzex] Bad link fixed - sorry.
Speaking of gators, Orange and Blue Hue says Pat is gatorbait. Sour grapes, fellas?
The Duke blogosphere responds, and takes aim at Greg Monroe next year.
Dick "Hoops" Weiss has the story as well, as does NCAA Hoops Today and Recruiting Wars. All these guys are ASoB favorites, and we love linking them.
YardBarker blog flicks some fecal matter at UK, getting almost all the facts embarrassingly wrong. Be sure and give them your love if you decide to visit. Ugh.
Sports, Videogames, Etc. gets it right, though, in a nice article that looks at next years lineups. Well done.
DeCourcy at The Sporting News has a must-read look. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Sports Illustrated have rather more generic articles, but worth a look if you have the time.
SLAM! magazine slams UK fans. Not very nice.
RISE magazine thinks Patterson committing to UK was a "surprise". These on-line hoops mags don't think very highly of us these days, it seems.
Jody Demling is posting like mad on his Courier-Journal blog. Too much stuff on there for me to tell you about here, just keep scrolling.
Finally, Rivals teases us with this subscriber-only article suggesting Billy G.'s in-home really had an impact on Patterson's ultimate decision. Way to go, Coach!
That's it for now. I'm taking a break. I think I've earned one.
