Basketball BlogPoll -- Week 5

Here is the Week 5 Basketball BlogPoll, delivered to you somewhat timely for a change.

Lots of big moves this week, particularly below the top ten.  15-25 is just a mess, with all sorts of movement and confusion.

Vanderbilt continues to impress.  This team is solid, and I watched them play DePaul the other night and come back from a 16 point deficit in the second half to win in overtime.  On the other hand, Louisville is on a big slide right now.  Many voters were affected by the suspension of Derrick Caracter, but since Pitino was apparently only kidding, I imagine the will start moving the other way unless the Cards continue to lose.  Maybe the football player that Pitino is thinking about bringing on to the team will be the next Charlie Ward.

The top five or so have been relatively constant now, and I would say they have separated themselves from the pack a bit.  I am still not that sold on Duke being this high, but that could be my anti-Duke bias talking, and make no mistake, I can't be considered objective when rating the Blue Devils.

UCLA is beginning to impress me less and less.  Texas is impressing me more and more, and they have a real mid-term exam coming up against Michigan State on the 22nd.

The public spreadsheet is here so you can see how everyone voted.  Comments and observations, as usual, are welcome.
