According to the AP, UK is ranked #20 in their pre-season poll. Other notables include Louisville at #6, North Carolina at #1, UCLA #2, Memphis #3, and Duke #13.
The only real quibble I have is this -- how the hell did Duke get ranked 13th after last season?
It doesn't mean anything, but it galls me nonetheless. And people wonder why Duke is hated so much -- this is an example of why.
For the record, and for comparison, here is the pre-season top 25 done by the BlogPoll that A Sea of Blue is participating in. Note that even we can't get Duke right. :-) At least yours truly had the decency to rank them 15th.
