Coming off its best regular season in decades, if not ever, the Kentucky baseball team will be in the rare position of being an SEC favorite.
The first early look at where the Cats will stack up comes via the preseason Baseball America's top 50, released yesterday.
Given what the Cats return, especially pitching-wise, that rankings seems a bit low. But it's probably more that folks want to see if Coach John Cohen and his kids can build on a solid year. Also, the way the Cats folded in the postseason certainly didn't win them any new fans.
Regardless, with the football team's bowl win, the baseball's team's SEC season title and (hopefully) a big year to come from the basketball Cats (men and women), things are looking up for AD Mitch Barnhardt and the Athletics Department.
