Looking ahead: Texas State

For those already fed up with reliving the Louisville game, here's a short look at the next UK gridiron opponent, the Texas State Bobcats.

Texas State (1-0) comes in ranked No. 22 ... in Division I-AA. But the team has one thing UK does not have: a win. Last week, TSU grabbed a 27-23 victory over Tarleton State, who came in ranked No. 25 in the AFCA Division II Preseason Poll.

The Bobcats won despite being outgained by 56 yards in the opener. TSU has a balanced running and passing attack, with an emphasis on spreading the ball around.

Last year, Texas State lost a surprisingly close one, 44-31, to Texas A&M, and finished 11-3 on the season.

Kentucky is the only major conference program that Texas State will face this season.
