For those gridiron stalwarts forever fighting the good fight in hopes of a resurrected UK football program, welcome news from the preseason All-Southeastern Conference team, as selected by league coaches.
Six wildcats made the list, with two on the league's second team and four others on the third team.
Junior Rafael Little, a dangerous running back and kick returner, made a splash last season and will be looked to to lead the Wildcats rushing attack this fall. He'll be joined in the starting 11 by fellow SEC second-teamer junior tight end Jacob Tamme, who grabbed 29 passes for 251 yards and speared one TD.
Other prominent Wildcats were third-team picks strong safety Roger Williams, junior linebacker Wesley Woodyard, sophomore offensive tackle Aaron Miller and senior offensive guard Michael Aitcheson.
Miller didn't play last season, for personal reasons, but was highly regarded following his freshman season in 2004, and must have made an impression.
