The season of dreams for the Kentucky baseball program continues, with record highs across the board.
This week's round of collegiate baseball polls makes the Bat Cats the SEC's undisputed leader (as they are in number as well).
The high point is Kentucky's No. 4 spot in the Collegiate Baseball magazine poll. The Cats came in behind powerhouses Rice, Cal. St. Fullerton, and Texas -- all three teams with plenty of College World Series credentials. That is rarified air, indeed.
The USA Today folks were less gracious, but still kind, slotting the 40-11 Big Blue at No. 6, three spots ahead of Alabama.
Our friends at Baseball America, perhaps still a bit dubious, stuck the Cats up one slot to No. 8.
The Rosenblatt Report gave hte Cats a No. 6 ranking and an extremely favorable No. 1 seed in the NCAA tourney, which would mean a home series to open the postseason.
Up next: A makeup game with Belmont, then a huge conference-closing series at SEC Rival (and top-15 ranked) Georgia.
