Florida no champ vs. Bat Cats

It looked bleak in the fifth inning Friday night. Then the runs came. Then the rains came.

By the time the game was finished on Saturday afternoon, Kentucky had a surprising and critical 8-7 walk-off win over #19 Florida in the series opener.

Senior Shaun Lehmann's single off the wall in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Wildcats the win, and pushed their SEC record to 6-4.

A pair of home runs doomed the Cats in Game 2, a 6-4 loss that evened the weekend series at a game apiece.

The capper is today at 1 p.m. ET.

Update [2006-4-9 16:8:55 by JL Blue]: Bat Cats take the finale, 8-6, to win the series and move to an impressive 25-8 (7-5 SEC) on the season. Congratulations, boys.
