Born on the banks of the Ohio River (Illinois side), raised a Wildcat fan, and a graduate of Murray St. U. Hence, the name, Racercat. This is my first blog, so I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

My real name is Rob Heisner, and I am in the Quality Assurance Department of Dippin' Dots Inc., iin Paducah, KY.

I am now a Marshall County resident. And a Hoopfest Fiend! It's great to be able to see the college and pro stars before they get to the big time. In the past few years I've seen J. Gordon, K. Durant, M. Beasley, E. Devendorf, J. Vaughn, T. Lawson, A. Legion and B. Jennings from Oak Hill. Julian Wright, J.P. Prince, J. Tabb, Wayne Chism, Willie Kemp, Thaddeus Young, Jon Scheyer, Brandan Wright, T. & B. Hansbrough, D. Rose, S. Samuels, S. Hopson, D. Euton, A.J. Stewart, and Deandre Liggins. And a score of other Div-1 players. Many top 100 HS's come to play 7 miles from my house every year! What a blessed event! Only about 4,500 people can say they saw Monta Ellis put up 48 against Oak Hill, 7 months before he was drafted by the Golden State Warriors. But I was one of them. Now I just want to be able to see BCG there every year, watching some more of his top recruits play in the Marshall County HoopFest! On any given night, I turn on the TV and see 3 or 4 of these guys. It's awesome!

My first trip to Rupp Arena was to see the Cats play IU, in December of '85. The infamous Steve Alford-less game. I then follow that with Senior Day that same season, to say goodbye to Leroy Byrd, Roger Harden, and Kenny Walker. Happy Chandler sang "My Old Kentucky Home". There wasn't a dry eye in the house. It's hard to beat that type of memory.
