This is a step in the right direction, but doesn't even begin to address the other flaws in the KHSAA system which have been noted on this blog several times in the past. The KHSAA is fiddling while Rome burns, in my opinion, and is setting itself up to be replaced by a less "independent" body. That damage would be totally self-inflicted, as it seems obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together that punishing athletes is not the thing to do in cases of recruiting and questionable transfer. The sooner the KHSAA gets to the correct conclusion, the better it will be for Kentucky athletes and families, but the fact of the matter is, they have competing interests that interfere in rational decision making. I hope the Kentucky legislature will force them out of that self-centered way of thinking.

How I missed this, I don't know. But this is right on the mark. The crusade continues ...
