Congratulations to coach Lawson of the UK softball team. They were terrific this year.

Looks like two players UK fans were counting on coming back next season may very well be playing for pay next season.
With the firing of Jerry Wainwright at DePaul, the former Billy Gillispie assistant gets to guide the boat for the remainder of the year. If you remember, Webster was hired by Gillispie to increase the likelihood that Darius Miller would choose UK.

Without a doubt, first and foremost among any fan’s postgame thoughts today have to be with Ramon Harris. The latest news we have at this point is that Harris collapsed outside of the locker room at halftime. Coach Gillispie said that he threw up, was taken to the hospital (and was conscious), and now is feeling better. There is no official word yet on the cause of the collapse, but Ramon is undergoing tests that will help determine what happened. I’ll minimize the speculation, but Ramon’s health has been an issue since his scary collision with Michael Porter in December. Head/neck injuries are always a troubling, tough to understand subject, so you have to be concerned. As a matter of fact, I’m watching the Mississippi State-Georgia game, and Jimmy Dykes just reported that Ramon has been discharged from the hospital, which is great news. Great job by Cowgill. He has just been awesome, and his efforts reflect great credit upon the Bat Cats, the University of Kentucky, and the entire Commonwealth. Congratulations, Collin.
Matt Jones and Marc Maggard are reporting that Matthew Pilgrim of Hampton College University in Hampton, Va. (an old stomping ground of mine) may be the "mystery transfer" that had been discussed recently. Maggard says on TCP that he is visiting today and "will likely be a Cat before he leaves."
