I think Bobby is right. The so-called UK fans cheering Michael Porter's disqualification on fouls in the Miami game were guilty of an abject failure of humanity and fandom. I have been very hard on Porter's performance, but even harder on the coach for forcing him to play out of position. It just isn't right for this kid to have to take all these hits. I really didn't know that happened, and I was so into the game it never dawned on me that was what was going on. Bu one thing's for sure -that's just loathsome behavior. Sometimes we fans just plain make fools of ourselves in games, and this was one of those times. I hope everyone who participated is embarrassed. I sure am embarrassed for having to endure another hit to our reputation.

Seems like Kosta Koufos' high school coach has a low opinion of Matta's coaching abilities. I think, at best, he is overrated as a coach, but certainly peerless as a recruiter. But comments like this can change that.

Mark Story makes mincemeat out of articles like this one by David Climer of the Tennessean, this one by Fanblogs, and this equally ludicrous effort at al.com. Story demonstrates to the aforementioned that even if Brooks doesn't objectively deserve to be in the top of the coach-heavy SEC, he certainly doesn't deserve the basement.

What can I say? I don't know what gives me a bigger grin -- seeing Duke lawyers argue that their football team is worse than a division I-AA team, or seeing U of L wave bye-bye to lawyered out of $450,000 they ought to be entitled to. Hilarious. [Hat Tip: Fanhouse]
