Per Vince Walden at IMG, DeAndre Daniels has committed to Connecticut.

— From the Twitter of Evan Daniels at Scout. Walden is IMG Basketball Academy's basketball coach. The news was also confirmed by Andy Borman, IMG's basketball director, but no word from Daniels himself. So, there's that. Daniels is a 5* recruit that was once heavily pursued by Kentucky. He had been previously committed to the Texas Longhorns and was also said to be "close to committing" to Kansas and Duke at some point during his recruitment. His commitment to UConn seemingly comes out of left field, but nothing in Daniels' recruitment should be a surprise at this point.

Rivals has released the final update for their 2011 Top 150. The full list is here. Kentucky's 4 commits: Anthony Davis #2, Michael Gilchrist #3, Marquis Teague #5, Kyle Wiltjer #22. Scout has released the final update for their 2011 Top 100. The full list is here. Kentucky's 4 commits: Anthony Davis #1, Michael Gilchrist #5, Marquis Teague #7, Kyle Wiltjer #22. Three remaining uncommitteds, and all have Kentucky ties: DeAndre Daniels #29, Trevor Lacey #59, Joseph Uchebo #76. Given how on the ball Evan Daniels has been (and how Jerry Meyer has not), I may need to consider replacing Rivals rankings with Scout's on the Big Board. Thoughts?
