Georgia at Kentucky -- Statistical Comparison
Here is the statistical comparison between Kentucky and Georgia.
Just like LSU, we out-stat the Bulldogs in most areas except defense. Georgia is one of the best defensive teams in the SEC, and that defense allows them to be in almost every game they play. Just ask Tennessee, who barely escaped their most recent encounter with the Dawgs.
Georgia is very similar in many ways to Kentucky, except without a serious low-post threat. Like Kentucky, the Bulldogs have trouble putting the ball in the basket. Kentucky has utilized a very deliberate style to maximize their opportunities to enter the ball into the low post and protect their thin bench. Even though Georgia prefers to play the game at a higher pace than Kentucky, Georgia is fully capable of running good half-court offense and getting open looks. The Cats cannot throw Georgia off their game by forcing them into the half court.
Kentucky has been very efficient scoring lately, if not terribly prolific. If the Cats can manage turnovers a bit better, they should be capable of beating up the Dawgs on the blocks, and that will eventually free up Bradley, Crawford and Meeks from the perimeter. One of the things that Georgia is really bad at is assists, and they depend far too much on individual plays to get their shots. That has been their undoing all year, and they will likely continue to have problems with that against UK.
I'll have a more in-depth look at the game in my adversary analysis. For more on the Georgia Bulldogs, please be sure to visit our SBNation brothers at Dawg Sports.
Thanks again to Statsheet.com and Basketball State for the statistical data.

You have a mental block.
For whatever reason, you seem to be consistently forgetting to replace the university and mascot name in your next to last paragraph where you refer your readers to our opponent's blog sites.
The first time it seemed like a small oversight. The second, I figured you were in a hurry. Now with this instance, I think it's become a habit. :)
I actually find it fairly amusing now, particularly because you're so unfailingly accurate in everything else.
Nice to know that you're as human as the rest of us!
Keep up the great analysis.

Too human ...
Obviously, this is a template I use over and over, and for some reason, I always frequently forget to change that last line.
Thanks for pointing it out. I hate for my errors to have to live on forever.
