Adam Zagoria is confirming what had earlier been reported as likely -- 2013 small forward James Young will visit Kentucky this weekend, unofficially:
“Yes, we are taking an unofficial visit,” his Godfather, Sean Mahone, told SNY.tv Thursday night by phone.
Zagoria goes on to report that Young has not set any official visits as of yet. Kentucky is still reportedly Young's top choice, but Mahone doubts that Young will commit on this unofficial visit.
Young is exactly the kind of player that John Calipari loves. The comments he made recently about being fine with playing with guys like Andrew Wiggins and Andrew Harrison, two guys that figure to compete with him for minutes, is just the kind of thing that Coach Cal looks for in his high-level recruits.
It would sure be nice if the football team could help us out with a nice performance against South Carolina. Asking for a win is probably way too much, but could a brother get a competitive game within a couple of touchdowns?
