With the Adidas Nations Global Event coming to a finish, Rivals recently named their All-United States team for the event.
Headlining the list are a couple of Kentucky targets in 2018 forward Zion Williamson and 2018 guard Immanuel Quickley, as well as 2019 forward Charles Bassey.
Here is what Rivals’ Corey Evans had to say about Quickley:
On Immanuel Quickley:
“His numbers aren’t going to jump off the page unlike the rest of his peers starting alongside him, but what we need at the point guard position is someone that will take care of the ball, defend and create for others. Quickley checks all of these boxes. The fact that he turned the ball over just three times in 157 minutes of action is an eye-opening accomplishment, for example.
“Quickley does have to become a more efficient scorer, as he made just 40 percent of his shots from the field, but the fact that he is all about the team and remains one of the most engaging and toughest on-ball defenders in America does not hurt his cause.”

It’s great to see Quickley continue to draw high praise throughout the summer. He may not be the 2018 class’ best point guard, but a strong case can be made for him having the best summer of them all.
It’s also good to see Zion keep being Zion. Kentucky is working hard to pair him with Quickley in this class, so hopefully that comes to fruition.
