Karl-Anthony Towns continues to show why he's not only the best NBA rookie this season, but also a star in the making.
After putting on a show in the NBA Rising stars Challenge on Friday, Towns was back on the court Saturday for the NBA All-Star Skills Challenge. While Towns may have missed out on the All-Star Game, he still got to compete against several All-Stars in this event, including former Kentucky Wildcats Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.
Despite going against a veteran-heavy field, the rookie was able to come out on top and win the Skills Challenge, defeating Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas in the final round. He then got mauled by Cousins as if they were teammates at UK right now.

This wouldn't have happened in the past as this competition originally didn't allow big men to compete in this challenge while traditionally being focused on point guards. Thankfully for guys like Towns and Davis, forwards and centers can now participate in it, and that's allowed KAT to take home the trophy this year.
This has already been a great weekend for former Cats participating in the All-Star festivities, and hopefully it keeps up going into Sunday's All-Star Game.
