How good is incoming freshman Skal Labissiere?
Kentucky basketball head coach John Calipari has liked what he's seen of the 6-10, 200-pound big man from Haiti. With Cal holding his annual Pro Camps, several former Wildcats are in Lexington to serve as camp counselors, one of which being Karl-Anthony Towns.
After a memorable one year in Lexington, Towns went on to become the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Some already have Skal rated as the No. 1 prospect in the 2016 NBA Draft, and that's been evident during the pick-up games he apparently had with Towns.
As Calipari put it, Skal "beat up" Towns in said pick-up games:
Cal says "Skal beat up on Karl a little bit yesterday" in pickup. Towns laughs.

Towns said Skal "showed some great glimpses, but ..." Calipari: "got a way to go." Towns: "There's a reason I'm a pro."

As for any question of Skal being eligible for the 2015-16 college basketball season, Calipari doesn't seem to think there is any concern about that.
Calipari confident Skal will play Day 1? "Oh, yeah."

Cal expressed full confidence that Skal will not have any issues about eligibility.

This actually wouldn't be the first time Towns and Skal faced off on the hardwood. Back in 2013, the two future Wildcats squared off at the 2013 NBPA Camp in Virginia, and it was evident early on they were both special talents.
