The Kentucky Wildcats have picked up yet another football commitment, their fifth in a 48-hour span.
After getting commitments from 2017 prospects Mac Jones, Michael Warren and James Hudson, and Russ Yeast, UK was looking to add a pledge in the 2016 class when Kobe Smith made his announcement Wednesday night.
Smith announced his pledge to UK via Twitter:

To get Smith, UK had to beat out the likes of Miami (FL), Arkansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Georgia Tech among a host of other BCS schools.
Smith, a 6-4, 295-pound defensive tackle out of Archer High School (GA), committed to NC State back in December, but decommited after visiting Kentucky for their Friday Night Lights recruiting event. The three-star prospect is ranked as 24/7 sports Composite's No. 44 defensive tackle in 2016.
As it stands, Kentucky now hold commitments from 21 players in the Class of 2016 with hopes of taking 2-4 more players.
