The Kentucky Wildcats will open the new Commonwealth Stadium at night when they take on Louisiana-Lafayette to open the 2015 season on ESPNU.
Kentucky will begin its season at home against the Ragin’ Cajuns on Sept. 5 with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. ET on ESPNU. On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Wildcats travel to Columbia, S.C., to start their SEC schedule against the South Carolina Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
UK will open its SEC home schedule the following week on Saturday, Sept. 19 against Florida at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network. That's three straight nighttime kickoffs to begin the Cats' 2015 season.
The SEC and ESPN also announced that UK's Thursday night home game on Oct. 15 against Auburn will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. The game will be the first Thursday home game in program history.
