2014 point guard Tyus Jones will take an unofficial visit to see the Kentucky Wildcats this weekend, per Kentucky Sports Radio. Matt Jones of KSR tweeted the news this morning. The Wildcats take on the Texas A&M Aggies in Rupp Arena on Saturday.
Jones, from Apple Valley (Minn.), is considered a five-star prospect in the 2014 class. He is one of two point guards with a Kentucky offer, along with Emmanuel Mudiay from Dallas (Tex.) Prime Prep. Jones currently is the top ranked player in the nation, according to 247 Composite rankings.
The news was reconfirmed by Adam Zagoria of Zags Blog, who spoke with Jones' high school coach. Last fall, Jones narrowed his list to 8 schools: Baylor, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, North Carolina and Ohio State.
