After not being allowed back to Pitt, Cats and WVa will each get a visit from Shell before he decides. He had all but finished a transfer to UCLA, but decided he wanted to come back to Pitt to be near his children and family. Pitt's coach would have none of that. He said allowing him back was never really an option, according to ESPN.
Shell will sit out 2013 either way, but would be an excellent addition to the program. He was the 2nd leading rusher for Pitt as a freshman in 2012. He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining after sitting out 2013.
